Projects

Water Tanks
Catch rainwater from guttering on the roof of any building and have an external tap to draw water from.
Catchment Areas
Constructed on a hillside to direct water into underground storage tanks. These also require a water distribution point so that people do not access the tanks directly.
Natural Springs
Protecting an existing spring by constructing a firm concrete base for containers to be filled with water.
Boreholes
In certain circumstances a borehole may be the only sustainable solution. This is legally registered with the local Authorities and a storage tank built for water distribution. Solar power will be used to pump water if at all possible.

WATER DROPS uses tailored water solutions according to the particular requirements of each community.

Through the Anglican Church, WATER DROPS connects with communities throughout Kajiado to explore what the best water solutions are with local people and leaders.

People

Local Committee
A local committee will be trained to oversee the use of the water and be responsible for the maintaining of the water tanks and pipework.
Local Labour and Materials
As far as possible local materials and local labour will be used and sourced empowering the community with ownership and encouraging involvement.
Relationships
WATER DROPS will provide a platform to introduce people from across the world. These relationships will provide a powerful connection to what is happening and a real appreciation of the impact the project can have from both the donor and recipients point of view.
